Tödistrasse is characterised by a dense succession of historic buildings. The refurbishment is intended as a precise continuation of this context and blends naturally into the established cityscape.

At the heart of the design is the façade, which acts as a mediating element between the listed existing structure and the contemporary intervention. It adopts the classical structure – plinth, façade body and roof finish – as well as the colour scheme of the old building, anchoring the structure within its historic surroundings. At the same time, it is further developed through a clear, modular arrangement and the use of glass and metal.

Its profile and solidity lend the façade a calm, dignified presence and understated ornamentation. Overall, the intervention remains understated and precise, with clean lines, a flexible floor plan and a timeless architectural expression.
