URHÜTTE. An industrial hall is simple. Functional. Economical. A gable roof is simple. Distinctive. Site-specific. But we don’t make it quite that simple for ourselves. The building has been lifted off the ground. It hovers. It is pierced by cubic volumes. It becomes transparent. If someone says: ‘I want to know exactly what’s going on in there,’ we say: ‘That’s possible.’ Let’s call it transparency.
