Apartment block in Winterthur-Seen
FOUR AND FIVE. Adapting without losing one’s identity. Integrating, yet still remaining true to oneself. The apartment block achieves this. In a housing estate featuring buildings from the 1920s and 1930s, architectural treasures can be found in both the terraced houses and the detached villas. The new building brings these elements together and takes them further. With one square per element, with open and empty spaces, with corner and central sections. Interlocked and opened up in the third dimension, clear connections and pathways emerge.
