Here, ‘Le Clou’ means: everything can be dismantled down to the last nail. But let’s start at the beginning: the KSA is getting a new building. For five years, the staff canteen ‘Le Clou’ is moving into a temporary facility. The structure will be situated in the listed park. Raised on steel supports and enclosed with timber modules, the temporary ‘Le Clou’ can be dismantled. Some or all of the supports and furniture have been borrowed from the existing stock. All of this is meant to be on display. Composed of ‘objets trouvés’, the building is economical and pragmatic. However, with its coarse chipboard finished in gloss varnish, it is by no means merely a functional building.
